Argumento sobre trabajo social

   
Español: Ahora, yo estudio trabajo social en la Universidad de Vermont.  Nosotros hablamos  mucho sobre la importancia de ser vulnerable y real cuando trabajando con un cliente.  Creo que este idea es algo que otras profesiones de ayudo, como psicología, omiten.  Para se sienita con una persona, escucha a su dolor, y se ayuda con sus objetivos que los clientes indican, se trata de romper las dinámicas de poder y escuchar realmente.  Para hace este, una trabajadora social necesita conocer que el no son el experto en otras vidas, el cliente tiene la verdad de su propia vida.  Sin ser vulnerable y pregunta preguntas abiertas y curiosos, este tipo de relación es muy difícil para establecer.  Un cliente sabe cuando tú no estas real con el, y esto rompe la confianza que es necesario en una relación de ayuda.

Ingles: I am currently studying social work in college.  One thing that we often talk about is the importance of being both vulnerable and real when working with a client.  This is something that I believe many other helping professions, like psychology, leave out.  To be able to sit with someone, hear their pain, and help them with the goals that they identify it is about breaking down power dynamics and really listing.  To be able to do this, a social worker must recognize that they are not the experts on other’s lives, but the client is.  Without being vulnerable and asking open and curious questions, this type of relationship is very difficult to establish.  A client knows when you are being fake with them and that breaks the trust that is necessary in a helping relationship.
